Language requirements

Good previous knowledge of the respective local language is strongly recommended in order to be able to successfully study in a foreign country. Prospective students should have sufficient language skills to be able to follow lectures and find their way around unknown surroundings. For many foreign universities, passing a language test is a prerequisite for enrolment, e.g. the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in English-speaking countries.  

Financial requirements 

Depending on the living costs in the respective country, the mere stay in your prospective place of study may be cheaper or more expensive than in your home country. However, travelling expenses and tuition fees must be considered as well. Not every country allows International Students to work during their studies. The choice of leaving your home country to study abroad takes a lot of courage – students planning a higher education in a foreign or at least partly foreign country should be aware that a high level of independence, openness and adaptability will be required from them.
